We’re pretty stoked to be offering it directly - It’s not that common for a bouncy castle company to be able to book you into a venue themselves - As a company, we have to have special agreements in place and there’s a lot of trust both ways with the school and us.
It’s a great thing for everyone involved - We’re able to exclusively book customers in for parties and share a live online diary with the school so that we can make the bookings directly.
We hold the keys and open up for the customer, show them the facilities, set-up the bouncy castles and other inflatable equipment, then we leave you in peace to enjoy the party.
We actually only live a 6 minute walk away from the hall and are available incase of any questions, but generally only come back at the end of the party to make sure it’s been tidied and kept clean, then pack away the equipment and lock-up! - You only deal with us from start to finish for your entire party, which is great for the school to help support them with a small income stream and great for our customers receiving an all in one service with the benefit of a great value discounted rate on the hall.
It’s a very special school for us - Not only did both of our children used to attend the school (with the youngest just having left), but Sarah Elliott used to work there for several years as a classroom assistant. In fact, before that even - Sarah used to go to St Michael’s school as a child herself.
We’ve had a connection to the school spanning 38 years and weirdly, Spencer’s mother used to be a “Dinner lady” there for several years - Strange coincidence.
We often walk our dog in Steven’s park and since our youngest left the school a few months ago it felt pretty strange not having a direct connection to it anymore - Almost sad as we walked past it. It was a strange feeling and we talked about how we had provided bouncy castles and school fete hires to the PTA at St Michaels for the last 12 years - We even talked about how we should hire the field ourselfves and run our own outdoor inflatable days, keeping something of a connection to the school alive - It was only a few days later that the school contacted us and suggested the hall hire arrangement!
It was strange going back to St Michaels in a different capacity, but also very familiar at the same time and we’re grateful to be able to offer a hall hire in Welling directly to our customers with live, real-time and up-to-date access to the booking system, while keeping a relationship with the school and helping to support it in a small capacity.
It’s also a great hall - We wouldn’t want to be associated with it if it wasn’t such a great venue.
