Looking Forward to the Queen's 70th Jubilee Celebration
After such a long time of no parties and minimal contact, no big celebrations and events being cancelled, we are without a doubt ready for a party! Not just any party, but a celebration of our monarch who is the first to ever see a reign of 70 years! Providing service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth. It's an un-paralleled achievement and dedication seen by no other. In a time of constantly hearing the phrase "unprecedented", this one is a far mroe paletable and welcome one.
We're over-joyed that to mark the occasion there will be a four day UK bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June and we're preparing to help people who would like to celebrate and join in the fun with street parties, events and bring some of our biggest, most fun equipment.
We've been contacted about hiring bouncy castles in the road for street parties with road closures and enquiries are already being sent for big and fabulous events.
While we're super ready for the good times, we do also have to remember that safety always comes first. Sadly, we're unable to hire any equipment that can be bounced on, climbed, mounted or slid down on a hard standing surface (i.e a road for a street party).
Unfortunately there is no safe way for us to anchor the inflatables securely - On grass we use very large steel rebar stakes that we submerge into the ground and in halls without the prospect of wind we can use sand-bags; Outside though where the inflatable is subject to the wind we cannot provide enough sand-bags to secure the inflatable.
To follow the rules we would need 7 full 25kg bags of sand on each anchor point (there's a minimum of 6 anchors on even the smallest of bouncy castles) - It's a literal metric tonne of sand and we cannot reasonably do this outside of drilling into the ground with anchor bolts (which the council does not allow).
Fortunately our inflatable games are not subject to this same rule and we are allowed to risk assess this where needed, opening the possibility of inflatables being used for street parties - But perhaps a little different to what you had in mind; Inflatable axe-throw, inflatable dart boards and lots more!
We have are putting on extra staff for the long weekend and will try to accomodate as many bookings as possible. However, we recommend contacting us as soon as possible to secure your booking as we have a feeling this is going to be a weekend to remember and one in which everyone wants to join in the fun!
Celebrating our monarchy is something we strongly believe in, while this modern age hasn't always been kind to the royal family; Our Queen represents stability, service and a community spirit that we may never see again. After such a long time without contact and being taught to avoid neighbours, it's a pleasure to see so many planning to come together!
