Eastcoate Primary School in Welling
We have built a very special relationship with Eastcoate primary school over the years. Once a year they hold their summer fete, a big grand affair with lots of inflatables. We know how the school works, have made friends with the head of the PTA (they actually run their own business too - which we have used for our childrens sleep over parties), know the care-takers and have come to learn the quirks of the school and what works best for them.
It would be difficult for any other company to provide inflatables for them, they have a unique power situation that requires special distribution and only the type of cable and distro boards that we use.
When we first provided a site visit many years ago we quickly identified their power supply issue and the distance from the sockets to the site location. They volunteered the information that the previous year a company arrived who hadn't performed a site visit and that they couldn't have the inflatables where they wanted them (they actually ended up on the playground and wasn't secured properly), then the inflatables kept going down and the entire school's electrics kept tripping over - It was a bit of a disaster for them and they wanted reassurance that whoever they used going forward could accomodate them.
They didn't particulary want to pay for generators, preferring to keep the budget mainly for the inflatables - A sensible idea, while we do have our own generators we always recommend using the electrics of the venue where possible to keep costs down; Especially important for PTA's where one of the goals is to raise fund, generators seem like dead money.
We explained the type of measure we use, the commercial grade 2.5mm core cabling and what that means, the type of distro boards we use and assessed the site for the distance of the power supply. We found that they actually have two separate ring-mains at opposite ends of the school grounds, given the distance from each, using our specially made long cables we could use both and still group the inflatables together.
They wasn't exactly confident given their previous experience, so we offered to bring generators at no extra cost and would use them on the day if required, only charging for them if required. We use several generators so would do this incrementally and not try to over-charge by using them all if they wasn't needed. We was entirely confident that they wouldn't be needed, but it provided the reassurance they needed to proceed with the booking.
Suffice to say, we was able to set-up the inflatables safely on their school field and there wasn't a single issue with the power supply. Ever since then they have continued to use us for the past Six years.
This has grown since then and we are now trusted to provide the with their Easter bounce-a-thon inflatable for their fundraiser, school sports day, end of term parties and other events through the year. We attend their taekwondo lessons and get involved in their events ourselves, it's become a special school for us and are proud of what we have built together with them. No matter whether it's a bouncy castle and slide for an after-school treat, a single castle for a fundraiser or a huge inflatable day, we still provide the same attention to detail and level of service as when we very first met; Which is why we believe they keep using us and have never looked back.
