Is an indoor Home Bouncy Castle Heavy?
One of the questions we've been asked the most since launching our brand new to market home indoor bouncy castles is if they are heavy or not?
Customers are thrilled at the idea of having a bouncy castle set-up in their home, but are worried about whether they can move it or not.
Rest-assured, we wouldn't ever supply equipment that was too heavy or not practical. Our home bouncy castles are new to market and designed specifically for indoors and have had an enourmous amount of weight reduced from them.
Most standard out-door bouncy castles are anywhere between 60kg - 100kg in weight. These require a traditional sack-barrow and should never just be lifted by a single person.Our indoor bouncy castles though have been made with genuine thought and care to the process; They weigh 25kg, which is the same as a standard builders bag of sand. They're half the weight of even the lightest standard bouncy castles and roll-up very small in comparison.
The photos below should add a sense of scale, but all of the equipment needed is easy to pick-up and hold. The heaviest item is the castle at 25kg, which is still below the maximum recommended weight to carry by a single person; Below airlines suitcase weight limits! If you can carry a suitcase, then you can easily move the bouncy castle!
Since our launch, several other styles have come onto the market. Sadly, not all of them have had quite as much thought added. Our castles have netted side and rear walls instead of thick and heavy bouncy castle walls. Having the side walls netted ensures far less weight in the castle, but also allows the internal bounce area to be much greater! Our indoor castles allow a greater space inside while being lighter than ever before!
Sadly, they're a victim of their own success and are becoming fully booked for lots of dates (despite having two of them). We urge anyone who is considering hiring one for their child's birthday during lockdown to commit to a booking quickly, before the slot has gone!
