To keep up with demand and add some contingency we have purchased another generator. This one is capable of running two blowers and will mainly be used with our existing generators and petrol blowers for school fetes and events where electricity isn't readily available.
We could ramble on about only using industry leading generators that have the very best reputation in uptime as well as our stringent dedication to regular services, ensuring that the generators just keep going and going when you need them too. However, the truth is that sometimes generators do stop working sometimes...
We've purchased this generator specifically for that reason. We do not want to be in a position where a generator goes down and we can't do anything about it to save the situation. Having one spare available offers us some room to maneuver and rectify the situation should it ever occur.
We prefer smaller generators. The truth is that it spreads risk; If you have 10 bouncy castles running off of 3 or 5 generators, then one going down is a nuisance. You may be able to rebalance the inflatables across the existing generators or possibly just have 1 or 2 inflatables down. However, if you are running the entire event off one huge generator then that going down is a disaster that's hard to recover from.
With our own in-house generators and petrol blowers we can cater for all medium sized events. We do not have to go outside or pass on added cost with added mark-ups by outsourcing to other companies, introducing risk and complication. However, we do have several trade accounts with 3 big suppliers, enabling us to scale up to any size power requirements. We recently powered 31 inflatables through generators like this and have the ability to go to any amount with no upper limit!
