St Michaels School Fete 2019

We're so incredibly pleased to be sharing the pictures below of St Michaels School Inflatable fun day. This is the third time we have supplied to the school and it keeps becoming bigger and better! This year they decided to go bigger than ever before with our biggest ever slide and many more inflatables, including not just one, but a very impressive two fun runs!

We're yet to receive the now eagerly anticipated text message letting us know how much profit they have raised, but if they even matched last year it will be incredible, considering they only run it for 2 hours. We suspect that they will have smashed last years amount, based on the increased numbers through the gate and the change in focus to inflatables and food/drink instead of side stalls.

This has been a progressive change that's had a positive impact on the amount raised. While it may sound a little patronising, the truth is that home knitted teddy bears and second hand books from home just don't have the draw and th appeal that inflatables do. St Michael's is a great case study for this, where they have seen a rise in attendance and profits raised by increasing the amount of inflatables available. The more inflatables, the larger the capacity that they can have in attendance and the bigger the appeal; So much so that St Michaels made the event open to everyone, not just school children and their siblings, which lead to their biggest event yet.

There's a Kevin Costner movie (Field of Dreams) which coins the famous quote "If you build it, they will come". The same is true here. The larger the inflatable event, the bigger crowd you will draw, and they will keep coming back. Schools have a built in cheat mechanism, too... They have a captive audience. Set the inflatables up during a school day and there is zero chance that any child will let their parent take them home. They're staying!

We have a few pre-made school fete packages to hire already made which are great food for thought, but we're very happy to change them to suit your audience and budget. We can scale from two inflatables up to thirty quite easily.

St Michael's School in Welling is a great example of how to do an inflatable day properly. Half measures generally mean frustrated children with over-crowding. You may get away with it for one year, but the next year you'll have very little credability to trade with. Having a varied assortment of bouncy castles, slides, fun-runs and other inflatables means you have a broad appeal and everyone will be asking "When's the next one?!".
