The old "Bait and Switch"
We recently wrote a news post about being a family run business, something that we hold very dear to our hearts. One of our personal beliefs is that if you enjoy your job and are with good people, then that "job" isn't really a job at all.
We put that to the test two days ago when we asked our children to help out with some cleaning and have some "fun". Normally this is a job that most bouncy castle hire companies hate, it's wet and hard work; But we believe that the results ensure happy customers and returning customers.
It turns out that our "bait and switch" wasn't actually such a let down after-all; You can still have fun while working, especially when the job is bouncy castles!
We made sure that we had plenty of fun breaks and got some bouncing in, but the end result was not just clean bouncy castles, but some happy and content children (as well as very worn out ones)!
Being together, learning the value of money and how it is earned honestly, working and having fun, bonding and creating memories are all things that are precious to us and define who we are as a business and our work ethic, but also who we are as indivuals and people, too. The line is often blurred, but this can be a great thing!
