Bouncy Castle Generators & Safety

We take safety extremely seriously. That doesn't just stop at the inflatables. When we set-up bouncy castle fun days and school fetes that require generators (which are only needed if there aren't any plug sockets close by) then we take several precautions to ensure it is safe and risk minimised.

We erect the inflatables away from the generators. We use long leads that are rated for that type of length, so we're able to set them up at a safe distance from the inflatables. We also put a temporary high visibility perimeter fence safely all around the generators to stop anyone from touching the equipment or becoming too close to it. Additionally we always supply a suitable fire extinuisher for the generator that is tested and inspected regulary.

We only use well maintained equipment that has a regular service and we are competent in using the equipment, ensuring that only the correct sockets are used and not over-loaded. For example, we use power distribution boxes and do not exceed the correct amount of amps for that socket type. The leads we use are all cform 16 amp (or 32 amp power distribution box with16 amp attachments) and the leads are commercial grade for outdoor use, made using H0rn7-f cabling.

The vents of the generators are always positioned to blow the exhaust away from the play area; With the generators themselves being positioned away from the inflatables and the exhaust pointed and blowing in the opposite direction the risk of generator exhaust fume is greatly minimised.

We have seen dreadful set-ups with generators positions next to the bouncy castle blowers, with a short half meter fly-lead connecting the two, no perimeter fence, no fire extinguisher and a spare fuel tank leaning against the generator. We take a wider view when it comes to safety beyond just the inflatables and are competent to create a safe environment with minimised risk.

If you are interested in organising a school fete, an event or inflatable fun-day (regardless of whether they need generators or not) then we would love to hear from you and hope that our excellent track record for safety is something you'll consider sets us apart from anyone else.
