Bouncy Castle Cleaning & Drying
Keeping our equipment clean is a real and genuine priority for us. After a weekend of hires it's important for us to make sure that the castles isn't dirty. Not all dirt can be seen though, so we regulary washy, scrub and anti-bac all of our equipment.
We had a hire at the weekend for a fete where there was a lot of use all day from a lot of different children. This is an especially good time to clean an inflatable afterwards and give it a "deep clean".
People often use the term "deep clean", but we wanted to share with you what that means to us. Firstly, we put the inflatable up and will brush off any visible dirt, confetti or other party mess. Then we take a pressure washer and go over the entire inflatable, which removes any mud, dirt or stains.Next up is a scrub with warm soapy water (we actually use BCN Miracle cleaner, formulated for bouncy castle material, not soap). Bouncy castles often have a grainy type of material where dirt can be difficult to remove, so we scrub the lot, then wash it all off again. We've found that using BCN cleaner provides the very best results!
After that, we let the bouncy castle dry out, tipping it backwards to allow it to drain and getting the air around it as much as possible. This can only be done in very dry weather or inside a unit, obviously. Once it's all dry, we use a cloth and anti-bacterial spray to go all over it. The result is a very clean bouncy castle.
Sometimes there will be marks that just cannot be removed, but we're very confident that as a bare minimum our inflatables will be clean! For us, that is what a "deep clean" is, not just a wipe over with a broom!
Sometimes we do see marks that just cannot be removed; Stains from confetti for example (which we do not allow on our bouncy castles) or if someone has gone on with shoes and scuffed it or used a biro pen. The worst offender is facepaint; Water based facepaints come off easily, but sadly a lot of face painters use oil based face paints and these burn into the material; For this reason, we do not allow facepaints on the bouncy castles as it's often impossible for parents to know which type of facepaint their supplier is using.
We take a lot of ime and care to ensure that each time we hire our equipment, it arrives in great condition and not dirty.
When hiring from us, you can be sure that the equipment is safe, clean and ready to use!
