Brand NEW Silly Sausage
This is supposed to be a "brand new to market" product, but in truth, we have seen this before. Thirty years ago when our resident delivery driver (Spencer) was just 7 years old his parents purchased a "silly sausage" from a company that made crafts, bird boxes, tables, garden ornaments and all sorts; Two parents of disabled children started a group for other disabled young adults to make items for sale, covering the cost of the workshop and the materials only. They turned their hand to inflatables and they made something very similar to the below. It was a garden treat for the entire street (back when neighbours children would all play together) and would be put up almost every day through summer.
It was never actually officially named, so in our home it was called the "Silly Sausage". One of our favourite manfacturers released a video of this last night, after importing five of them. It was an immediate nostagia trip for Spencer who instanly confirmed an order, making us one of only Five in the country to be able to offer this "NEW" product (some 30 years after having one for home use).
The manufacturer also hadn't named this product, so it has now officially been adopted as the "Silly Sausage". It's pretty cool that we have named a product, feeling pretty chuffed with that.
It inflates with a compressor and then it doesn't need any further airflow. It has a stopper on it. It's really fun for kids, but we're not going to lie, we're looking forward to using it ourselves for adult BBQ's and sumemr fun. When it arrives we'll take some photos and a video!
