Lamorbey Hall Hire Sidcup
We've been to Lamorbey hall, Sidcup Kent, DA15 9AE a few times before. In fact we've been more times than we can remember if you count the trips with our daughter to baby ballet!
We recenty wrote about a Hall Hire in Wilmington and was pleasantly surprised to receive some feedback on it very quickly! To this end we decided that when we have the time we will take some photos of halls we visit and provide some details about it!
The parking at the hall is great; Which is essential on this busy road. There's very few places to park outside of the carpark, so onsite parking is a must here. Although there where a few vehichle there not related to the party which would be a problem if there was lots there and you had a lot of guests.
The building and the hall needs some investment. It's clean and safe, but it's quite a dated church hall. It's absolutely fine for a party and you wouldn't be dissapointed, but you can tell it has that old feel to it.The entrance in particular needs a more welcoming feel.
The layout is very cool, there are actually two halls (although we're not sure if you get the entire space of both or you just hire each hall separately). You could deffinately have a lovely soft play set-up in the smaller room, leaving the bigger hall for a bouncy castle and the bigger children.
The main hall has a diving wall, but nothing that gets in the way. It's quite large in total, but they do have bars going across the ceiling at arounf 9 foot spaced every 15 foot or so. That unfortunately means you're limited with exactly which inflatables could fit in, but all our of our bouncy castles would be fine. Sadly it does rule out big slides and fun-runs though.
The kitchen is quite large, but again a little dated. Lots of room for preparing food though and lots of workspace too! While the hall is quite old fashioned, they have installed lots of heaters throughout, so it's deffinately not cold.
It's deffinately competition for the Montrose hall just 500 yards away on Hurst road, but this certainly has a more traditional feel. We've taken some photos below so you can see what we're describing in greater detail, with a few nice pictures of one of our bouncy castles on hire at the hall, which shows the bars across the top and a good sense of scale, too.
