We hire slush machines regulary. They can really elevate a party to the next level. Who can boast that they have their own slush drinks on tap at a party? Not many!

Hardly anyone stops to think about the hygiene aspect. We're glad about that, we don't want anyone worrying. Well, at least not worrying when they hire from us.
We have a level 2 food hygiene certificate for every member of staff that will ever set-up a slush machine.
This is important, because they're handling the containers, mixing the syrup up for you and setting up the entire machine. You can't have them pouring in the slush with dirty hand or contaminating the drink.
Not only that, but you have to think about how the syrup has been stored before it ever got your party and how it was transported. We understand this importance and store the consumables appropriately, and transport the tanks, the bottles and the parts all in a large box container than has been anti-bacterial cleaned. They are safe from contamination!
You also have to consider the machine itself. Most store table counter slush machines sit there day after day. The machines have a day and night mode... They freeze during the day and any left over slush goes to night mode where it isn't kept freezing, it goes toa chill mode. Just think about that for a moment... When you walk in on Monday morning and ask for a slush; It's been sitting in those tanks all over the weekend, freezing and then chilling over and over.
That simply isn't our style. Every time we finish a party, we empty away all the slush. We never ever re-use it. It's emptied out, no excuses.
That means every time we arrive, we pour fresh slush mixture into the machines. Not left overs.
Every time we hire the machine sout, they are then taken back to our house and cleaned. We dont mean a wipe over. We dissasemble the tanks, the levers, the spings, the seals and every part of it. It's then cleaned thouroughly and afterwards it is anti-bacterial cleaned. Not many companies even know how to do this, let alone do it every hire.
The pictue on this news item is of food grade lubricant. This is another important part of slush machine hygiene. You need to ensure that the seals are working and there are no leaks. To do this, you need lubricant (else the machine will leak).
We only use food grade lubricant to ensure that if it was to ever int he unlikely event come into contact with the slush, it's a tasteless and hygienic substance that cannot cause any harm. We do not ever use anything other than food grade lubricant, despite the increased cost.
